Parry launches partnership for independents

Chris Parry, former chairman and managing director of FCA!,
is creating what could eventually grow to become one of the
UK's largest networks of independent marketing agencies.
With the creation of The DirectionGroup, Parry will join
Creative Direction Consultants founding managing director
Richard Stephens to form the initial partnership.
Parry says: "Since leaving FCA!, I have been amazed at the
lack of advancement within the agency world in providing
a truly integrated offering. We have no bias towards any one
discipline, as we represent them all through companies
independent of each other."
To date, 12 marketing agencies - including The Direct Marketing
Business, digital media agency Graphico and Inside Ambient -
have joined. The combined turnover of the group is £50m.
Services currently being considered to join the partnership
include film/video production, radio, licensing and contract
publishing.
In connection with the project, Parry will reduce his role
on the board of marketing services consultancy Mentor
Marketing & Investment (MMI).
